Method

The calculator uses a standard Black-Scholes approach for European-style options. Vega is reported as the estimated dollar change in option price for a one percentage point change in implied volatility. Theta is reported per calendar day. Rho is reported per one percentage point change in the risk-free rate.

Real-world option prices may differ due to liquidity, early exercise features, dividends, market conditions, bid/ask spreads, and model assumptions. The site is not a brokerage, advisor, or trading platform, and is intended for students, investors, traders, and anyone learning about options.

VegaCalculator.com is part of the Clay Indices family of independent finance and measurement projects. Partnership and acquisition inquiries are welcome via the contact page.
